A Curse of Queens

A Curse of Queens

As y’all know I fell in love with The Kingmaker Chronicles this summer, and book 4, A Curse of Queens, comes out tomorrow!

What appealed to you the most in this series?

The latest installment of this series is from the point of view of my two favorite characters: Jocasta and Flynn! Jocasta is a strong, smart, compassionate and fearless woman; while Flynn is a total sweetheart who knows how to wield an ax and protect those in need.

I also enjoy how Bouchet has a unique and fun writing style. She also does an amazing job with the easy-to-follow world-building as the story continues and the plot thickens as a new threat emerges. This series brings us more Greek mythology with a new goddess and more twists!

How was the romance?

This was an excellent slow burn buildup of friends to lovers, and the angst of their romance had me flying through the pages.

Steam level: It’s open-door ladies and gentlemen and so good and steamy! Like fanning myself with the book steamy!

Can this book be read as a standalone?

It can easily be read as a standalone, but you’ll miss out on so much fast-paced adventure and romance in the others. Not to mention all the amazing characters as they are introduced. There really is something about falling in love with each character as the grow in each installment of this series.

How was the pace?

This is another fast-paced adventure that had me zooming through the pages.

Do you recommend this book?

Yes!! Y’all have to dive into this series and fall in love with all the characters as they grow, go on some amazing adventures to save humanity, and have some heart throbbing romances.

Thank you, Sourcebook Casablanca, for this gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.
