Before I Let Go

All I can say is just WOW! I know to expect a deep, real and layered story when I pick up a Kennedy Ryan book, but no matter what it’s always a life experience that strips me raw.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆?

This story is everything! I honestly don’t know how to write a review that fully expounds upon the way Ryan was able to write real life in such a way that you were experiencing it along with the characters. From the very beginning my heart went out for Yasmen, Josiah and their two kids. Everything they went through has happened to so many people and it made their mistakes, traumas, grief, fears, and realizations so devastatingly real, and their tears became my tears. BUT, this is also a story of hope, joy, discovery, growth, family and friendship.

What really stood out to me throughout the whole story (well that’s a lie, everything stood out) was how therapy for all ages was incorporated. Ryan was able to highlight the stigmatism and the fears some have going into it while showing the compassion and growth that you find when you sit down and finally work with the psychiatrist.

Oh…and the romance was top notch!

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸?

Beyond words! Having two narrators to go with the dual POV made the audiobook come to life. Not to mention it felt like they poured their hearts and souls into the characters in the same way actors on the screen would.

Fast paced, and a story I wanted to binge from the first chapter.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸?

Abso-Fing-lutley! This is a book I know will stay with me for a very long time and I cannot wait to pick up Ryan’s next book.
