Good Material

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 is quite the unique take on a breakup story, since it comes from the POV of the guy, and Andy definitely isn’t taking it well. Andy did get on my nerves, especially for someone his age, and how immature he was acting (but then what guy isn’t immature for his age these days). However, his insufferable actions were the whole point of the story, and his character was purposefully written this way.

My favorite part of the book was getting to see Jen (the ex) side of the story, and it really brought the whole story together, and gave it more depth.

After reading this book, I had a new sense of empathy for my friends going through breakups. Ending any type of relationship is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Alderton did a brilliant job of portraying the ugly side of the post break-up phase.
