Mini Reviews
Iona Iverson’s Rules for Commuting
This was just such an entertaining, addictive and heartwarming story with real characters tackling issues all of us encounter. The book as a whole was like a warm hug for my heart. It was charming, endearing and I absolutely loved it and the message that life is still beautiful even during the bad parts. I also was able to melt even further into the story with the audio version. Clare Corbett brought each of the characters to life with her fabulous accents and inflections. Definitely a book I wish I had read the minute it came out, but so glad I finally got to it.
The Violin Conspiracy
From the very beginning, I was completely engrossed in The Violin Conspiracy. It is a surprisingly beautiful underdog hero story that just steeps you in emotion. I cared so deeply for Ray and just wanted to jump into the story and help him fight for everything deserved, and all the accolades that go with. His world was fascinating and very cutthroat. This was my first time reading a story that dealt with the music world and I definitely took away a lot and cannot wait to read more from this author.
Finally Mine
I just love picking up a Lucy Score book when I need a steamy romance to lose myself in! They are always guaranteed to be fast paced, full of dynamic characters, serious topics and definitely laughter.
I will say that this book had a lot of repeats in it from the first book in the series, since it took place in the exact same timeline. This was the only detractor from the story, as I kind of found myself skimming those repetitive parts.
