I’m such a huge fan of Jennifer McMahon and how unique, brilliant and twisted her stories are, so I was beyond excited when her latest book hit my doorstep.

My Darling Girl is a creeptastic psychological thriller full of eerie suspense that kept me turning the pages. I love how McMahon can create a dark world that oozes off the pages while creating a layered and riveting story about a traumatized character. Then, she deftly blends genres to keep you on your toes…and possibly saying WTF several times.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲?

Holy smokes this was a fast read! The story is the perfect blend of slow build and suspense. I flew through the story, and as usual the twists completely blindsided me each time they smacked me across the face.

Truly another brilliantly dark story from McMahon. Definitely a book that checked all the boxes for an excellent Spooktober read, and left me wanting more. Seriously…After that ending I need more.
