My Summer Darlings

My Summer Darlings was a big swing and a miss for me. This story was just annoying and so were the characters. I’m keeping this review short and to the point.

Here’s what didn’t work for me:

The grown women in this story acted like teenagers and had zero common sense

Why in the world are they (two of whom are married) lusting after the same man one second after they see him?

The first 75% was just pure housewife drama...annoying

The women were beyond catty to the point that it diluted the plot and suspense

The constant alcohol/drinking got really old

We learn nothing about Will except for the fact that he’s hot, which gets repeated throughout the story at nauseam.

None of the story or characters felt realistic 

Oh…AND…If you do plan on reading this DO NOT read the dedication page. It is a complete spoiler for the whole book…Well, maybe not since this was a predictable story. I’ll leave it up to you to decide.
