The Slowest Burn was quite the unique opposites attract debut romcom with a delicious plot.
What appealed to you the most?
Since I am a huge foodie and love cooking, I was immediately drawn into all things food and getting to see how celebrity cookbooks are written.
There was also a huge chunk of mental health rep present in the story as both MC worked through their own traumas and how The trauma itself impacted their lives for both the bad and the good. This for quite a bit of character growth as the story progressed.
I also enjoyed the fun supporting cast of characters that brought more life to the story.

How was the pace?
Slow burn
I will admit to this story being so slow that I found myself losing interest and skimming some parts.
Make sure you do not read this book on an empty stomach or you will eat everything in your house!
