Confess, Fletch

Confess, Fletch

Confess, Fletch is a novel that is just fun!

First, a quick history on this series:

When I first received this book, I had no idea it was from a series that began back in the mid 1970s. The series then made its way to the big screen staring Chevy Chase, who put his own bumbling, pratfall-filled spin on the character in 1985's Fletch and its sequel. And just this last September, Jon Hamm brings the second book in the series back to life with a fun remake.

I really enjoyed following Fletch in the second book of the Fletch series. He has a dry sense of humor and a knack for getting himself into trouble. But the real stars of the show…at least for me in this book… are a couple of secondary characters: A Brazilian countess who may be his future mother-in-law, and a calm Irish cop who always gets his man. With all the characters combined this makes for quite the funny story.

Now, I am off to watch both the Chevy Chase and Jon Hamm versions of Confess, Fletch.
