What a week! After a three day blizzard we now have 36+ inches of snow. More is on the way tonight and tomorrow, so we are just hanging out at. On the positive side, we have had a lot of family time and I’m getting in a lot of reading.
Today’s post is more of a currently reading and buddy reads I’m starting Sunday and Monday.
𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝗸 - This slow burn romcom is cute and quite cinematic. It’s also a pretty quick read due to the short chapters, so I should finish today. The big highlight for me while reading is the leading lady is Jewish and has definitely represented!💗
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 - I’m currently reading this historical fiction with @jennyw_reads and we are halfway through the book. It is so very different from any of White’s other publications. It is just so slow and the characters aren’t really developed. It feels like I was just supposed to already“know” them and their connections to each other. Normally I would DNF since nothing has happened in this story at all, but White is one of my favorite authors so I have hope.
𝗔𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗲 (Pub 4/26) - I’m starting this one today with @mamas_top_shelf and hoping for a fast paced thrill ride full of suspense!
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹 - Both @thrillofthepage and I are huge fans of McMahon, so we cannot wait to dive into her latest book that comes out on 4/26.
A genre-defying new novel, inspired by Mary Shelley’s masterpiece Frankenstein, that brilliantly explores the eerie mysteries of childhood and the evils perpetrated by the monsters among us.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿 (Pub 5/31) - I’m so excited to get to read this with @bookishly_overdue this upcoming week! It looks like the kind of story that will get your heart racing!
A gripping debut domestic suspense novel that explores with compassion and depth what can happen when women pushed to the limit take matters into their own hands.
💬𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬?
AOTD: I do!! It makes reading so much more engaging when I get to discuss as I read.
