How to Kill Men and Get Away with It

How to Kill Men and Get Away with It was a surprising, fun satire/dark comedy…yet I hesitate to use the word comedy. Maybe “dark tragedy” is a better description.

Kitty is your typical Instagram influencer. She posts sexy pictures, goes out to all the best resturants and clubs, has only beautiful and privileged friends, and loves all the freebies that come with her influencer life. Oh, and on the side she kills men who prey on women.

What appealed to you the most in this story?

The unlikeable characters are actually what pulled me into the story and kept me reading, which is quite unusual. Normally I’m not one for stories full of unredeemable characters. However, Kitty’s level of insanity was a train wreck that I couldn’t look away from. Maybe it had something to do with her taking out the pathetic and violent men in the world. Kitty’s morbid sense of humor was also very catchy. She will test you with some really gruesome and graphically detailed information about meat processing that had my stomach doing flip flops (so thankful I don’t eat meat).

Overall, this is a story that will grab you right off the bat with its title and it for those who enjoyed the show Dexter.
