Never Rescue a Rogue
I picked up ๐ก๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ด๐๐ฒ late one night, and before I knew it, I was over 100 pages into the story and promptly finished it the next morning. Itโs a fun and light romcom with a cozy mystery set in the 19th century.
What appealed to you the most in this story?
This book was just pure fun and came at the perfect time since, I was in desperate need of a break from all the heavy and slow books I had been reading. I really enjoyed how this story was full of adventures, mystery, secrets, and my favorite: found family. Combined, this made for more than just a historical romance.
How was the romance?
The dynamic between Giles and Diana hooked me up from the beginning since the attraction between the two was palpable. Also, the banter and slow burn build up were a treat in this enemies to lovers/fake engagement story.
Steam level: Full detailed build up and then fade to black.
Can this book be read as a standalone?
I havenโt read the first book in the series, and I didnโt feel like I was missing anything or any background information, so this can be read as a standalone.
How was the pace?
This story held a steady pace and was a delight to read.
Do you recommend this book?
If you are looking for a delightful story that is also an excellent pallet cleanser, then grab this cozy mystery/romcom!
