Out in the Cold & Snow Day #2
Thank you Minotaur Books for this gifted copy.
Last year I read Perfect Shot (book 1 in the Special Agent Alexandra Martel series) and it was a high-octane rollercoaster ride. The story was like a Mission Impossible movie and it took me on one heck of an intense espionage ride till the very end! Seriously, I felt like I was watching the story unfold as it was happening just like at the movies. The only thing missing was the popcorn!
๐ข๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ฑ (book 2) is out now and I canโt wait to see what kind of mystery awaits!
๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ผ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐: While sailing across the Mediterranean, the megayacht Aurora is rocked with explosions, taken under siege by unknown assailants. On board are some of Europeโs wealthiest and most powerful political players, including the secretary general of Interpol, a high-ranking Finnish diplomat, and Special Agent Alex Martelโwhose lethal sniper skills kick in to bring them safely to shore.
Someone is waging a ruthless campaign of attacks against Finland, one of NATOโs newest members, in an attempt to throw the Alliance into turmoil. Teaming back up with CIA agent Caleb, Alex is thrust into the middle of the fray, pursuing the villains from the waters off of Monaco to the Baltic Sea and home to American soil.
As the US is pulled deeper into the conflict, a global catastrophe seems inevitable. But who is really responsible for these escalating attacks on Finland? The Russians, or someone much closer to home? As new allies surface and old enemies reappear, Alex has no way of knowing who to trustโand she might only have one last shot to keep the world from going to war.

AOTD: I hate it, but living in North Dakota I get to experience -60ยฐ and lower windchills, so Iโve toughened up.
Snow Day #2
Not sure how much snow we got due to 50+ mph winds blowing the snow, but I imagine itโs more than 4 inches.
No travel is advised for our area, so itโs another day curled up with the dogs and a book. Just not sure which book Iโm picking up today yet.
As you can see, the crew is already curled up and taking a morning nap.
