Reminders of Him

Reminders of Him

I’m going to keep this review sweet and simple since this book is all over social media and pretty much everyone is picking it up…and they should!

Synopsis: After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.

The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.

The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.

"You think you know how you’ll react in a terrifying situation, but that’s the thing. You can’t think in a terrifying situation."

Holy smokes! Reminders of Him delivered so much more than I expected. This is by far CoHo’s best publication to date and my new favorite of her many moving stories. From the very beginning I was emotionally attached to the plot and Kenna’s character, and boy did her story hit me hard. The story centers on grief, starting over, family, friendship, and forgiveness. I really can’t put into words how beautifully written this story was. By the end of the story, I was completely wrecked but in such a good way.

I’m so incredibly glad I read this moving and heart wrenching story with Kaley and loved the ability to message each other as we experienced CoHo’s latest story that brought us both to tears multiple times.

If you haven’t already planned on reading this book you need to add it NOW! I also think that the best way to go into this book is to go in blindly. Both Kaley and I did this, and I think it made the story even more poignant.
