The Book of Fire
The Book of Fire is a devastating and poignant story that reminds us to hold those we love close, because life is fleeting.
What appealed to you the most in this story?
This is a story that is pure emotion and I felt it all - grief, pain, heartache, loss, hope, frustration, and then hope all over again.
Lefteri also has a way with writing layered, flawed and real characters that come alive and pull you into their tragic worlds, and she has done it again with this story of survival and moral dilemma. AND, you might even find yourself asking what you would have done in the same situation.
How was the pace?
Slow burn character driven story.
