The Proposal

The Proposal is a sweet, fun, love story, about two people, Nik and Carlos determined not to fall in love.

This book was full of characters you want as part of your own gang. The friendship between Nik, Courtney and Dana was really the highlight of the story, it was kind of “Sex in the City“ in LA. I loved how they were there for one another. They supported each other without judgment (sometimes with humor), and I loved how bourbon, pizza and cupcakes cured everything. Carlos also had amazing friends and a family you really wanted to be a part of.

Overall, the romace part of the book was just right in the steamy department and had a very satisfying outcome. For me what makes or breaks a romance are the characters and the chemistry they have, and baby they had chemistry.

I should warn you…There is a lot of amazing food mentioned in this book, and I loved all the food talk. I couldn’t get enough of all the different cupcakes, enchiladas, tacos, etc.

If you are looking for a romance with a strong female friendship built in, then please pick this book up! Oh, and have some cupcakes on hand to munch on while you read it!
