Sunday and Snow

Sunday and Snow

Thank you Bloom Books and GetRed PR for this gifted ebook.

How’s everyone’s weekend going? I woke up to blue skies and sunshine this morning, so I’ll in a good mood after 24 hours of straight snow. We definitely got over a foot of snow but I’m not sure on the exact amount yet.

I’ve also gotten in quite a bit of reading, and today I’m starting 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲, which is the second book in the Prep series.

𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: It's been a long time since Casey Tresscott has felt like her life was her own. After the car accident that nearly cost her everything, she's used to her family's coddling and the relentless whispers at school, no matter how much they sting. After all, she's found a safe harbor in her budding relationship with Sandover's golden boy, Fenn Bishop…or so she thinks.

Beneath Fenn's pretty, party-boy surface is a dangerous truth about the night Casey almost died. He thought lying to her was the right thing to do, but when the secret shakes loose, he just might lose her for good.

Because Casey is done being taken advantage of.

Grasping for the control she's been missing, Casey finally snaps—telling off her bullies, gallivanting with rebels and playboys, and shirking her headmaster father's strict curfews, despite the consequences. A desperate Fenn must ally with his stepbrother RJ and the other Sandover delinquents to uncover the full story of Casey's accident and the ones responsible if he hopes to win her back.

But what happens if Casey is no longer the same girl he first fell for? Is there any hope for their future if she's gone rogue for good?

Yesterday

Well, Friday night and all through Saturday Mother Nature decided we needed a ton of snow. Unfortunately this is putting Web’s spring baseball season into question since it won’t melt anytime soon with our highs only in the teens and 20s.

Yesterday during the storm I got really stir crazy and needed to do something. I didn’t want to get on the dreadmill, so I decided to shovel snow.

It was quite the task just getting out the door to start clearing the walkway and eventually the driveway.

As you can see, it we were still getting snow and high winds. Gusts were over 50 mph and all aid ND was advised to stay off the roads.

I also had to dig out a big area in our backyard for the dogs so they could use the restroom. Poor Riggs was falling right through the snow.

The cars were also buried pretty good too!

Today

This morning I woke up moaning and groaning. For the first time ever I woke up feeling my age. I may have overdone it shoveling snow for over 2 hours yesterday. Literally my muscles, joints, and bones ache. However, I’m still alive and kicking with chores to be done.

This morning I put together Half-Baked Harvests’s Spicy Buffalo White Chicken in the crockpot.

Anytime a crockpot recipe calls for veggies I always sauté them before adding them to the crockpot.

I also have a couple of apples I need to use up, so I’m going to try this Apple Fritter Bread recipe I came across on Pinterest.
