Thank you Ballantine Books for this gifted E-copy.
Happy Saturday everyone! Itโs finally the weekend after a crazy week. This weekend we are hopefully going to finish all our upstairs painting and start getting the trim up around our new windows. Then we will finally be done with projects until summer when itโs time to build a new deck.
In the world of books I just finished reading ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฎ and ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ.
Violeta is an epic story of loss, love, family and hope. Violeta was a moving and dynamic story filled with so much emotion and complex characters.
I'm a huge fan of Allende's books and the way she captures the atmosphere, culture and traditions of the country and community she writes about, and the way she wove all of this together in Violeta through the characters and setting was just superb!
Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group/ Ballantine Books for this digital copy in exchange for my honest review.
๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ is a fast read, and I really wouldโve had it finished earlier had we not had late nights at basketball games and such a crazy week. Today is the day I am going to finish it and discuss it with Erin
We are planning out a few meals and looking up ideas for Sunday night dessert. Here is what we are looking at:
Dinner: Cajun Shrimp with Creamy Pesto Pasta
Options for Sunday night dessert:
Caramel Butter Cake with Fudgy Chocolate Frosting
