Dec 4 Look Closer & The Weekend

Holy sh$% balls! To say that Look Closer is a page turner is an understatement! @david_ellis_author has crafted a clever game of cat and mouse with twist after twist…after twist. It’s juicy, scandalous and definitely doesn’t pull any punches.

👀𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆?

The genius!! Ellis methodically planned a mystery that has found its way onto my lifetime favorite list! From the very beginning I could not get enough of this twisted story, and the layers not only in the plot but also with each and every character. Then, the way the story unraveled…Awesomeness!

My best advice is to go into this book completely blind!

I listed to about 80% of the story on audio, and it was phenomenal! With 4 separate narrators, each of the characters comes to life with even more emotion and depth.

The Weekend

We had a beautiful weekend and unseasonably warm weather. It was so nice that while I was out for my walk, some of the local pilots were going out for joy rides.

Sunday was all about using up some food in the freezer and since I had quite a bit of pumpkin love to use up, I decided to try this Easy Pumpkin Rigatoni from Half Baked Harvest. I loved how easy it was to put together but if I ever make it again, I won’t use the walnuts and I will add more red pepper flakes and sage. To top it I also drizzled a little bit of honey.

I have been craving chocolate chip cookies, so I thought I would give a new recipe a try!

I have been loving all the baked goodies from Krolls Korner, and her ginormous chocolate chip cookies looked amazing. I even turned into a child, and had to watch them bake!
