Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my latest reads, adventures in travel, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Famous Last Words

Famous Last Words

I purposefully saved my audio version of Famous Last Words to listen to during a road trip and it was an excellent mystery that made my 8 hours in the car fly by!

What appealed to you the most in this story?

I love a fast-paced story that immediately pulls me into a layered mystery that has me questioning everything and everyone, and Famous Last Words took it to a new level. Plus, McAllister starts this story off with one heck of a punch and then follows it up with nonstop excitement! Not to mention all the twists I absolutely loved! The more I listened, the more I thought I was catching on and figuring the mystery out, BUT NOOOOO…There was another twist waiting.

What to expect:

  • Dual POV

  • Suspense

  • Twists

  • Mystery

  • Bookish FMC

How was the pace?

Fast! This is one of those books that leaves you feeling like the world around you completely disappears while you are emmeshed in the story.

How was the audiobook?

Emilia Fox is such an amazing thriller and mystery narrator. The way she brings the characters, emotions, and underlying suspense to life is pure perfection. She really has a way of keeping a listener on the edge of their seat.

Do you recommend this book?

I truly enjoyed this clever mystery, with quite the unique premise, and how it all plays out is truly a chef’s kiss. If you're looking for a suspenseful, surprising novel, then you won't go wrong with this choice.
