There is something inherently horrifying about an abandoned orphanage with long-buried secrets, mystery and a haunting atmosphere surrounding abuse and possible murders. The unresolved past traumas and abuse at the hands of the nuns and priest added an even more chilling element that kept me turning the pages needing to see some kind of resolve for those abused.
