Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my latest reads, adventures in travel, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Godkiller

Godkiller

Godkiller was a surprising and unique debut for a brand-new quest fantasy series with a ragtag group of heroines and heroes you can't help but cheer for from the very beginning.

What appealed to you the most in this story?

I really enjoyed the flawed and so very realistic and complicated MCs in this story. Yet, throughout the story, even with their brutish exteriors, you could still feel their fierce loyalty and strong heart. Honestly, Kaner has a way of writing characters (only a few in this story) that you should not like or cheer for, but dang if I didn't find myself caring and feeling sorry for them and their tragedies.

Read if you like:

  • Multiple POV

  • Badass Female Characters

  • Disability Rep

  • Sapphic Rep

  • Found Family

  • Adventure: Bring on the battle scenes!

  • Mystery

  • Twists

  • Fantasy with easy to follow world building

How was the pace?

The beginning was a slow burn build, but it kept me engaged as there were twists, turns, and adventures to be had. Then, at the halfway mark the story really took off!

How was the audio version?

The audio version was phenomenal, and it brought so much more life and suspense to the story.

Listening speed: 1.5x

Do you recommend this book?

If you are a fantasy lover or new to fantasy this is an incredible new series with compelling characters and so much promise!

Thank you, Harper Voyager, for this gifted copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
