Legendborn Series

Legendborn Series

Oh my gosh! I am so glad I jumped on the bandwagon and picked up this series and I’m still kicking myself for having let the first book, Legendborn, linger in my tbr stack all year!

What has appealed to you the most in both books?

Everything!! The character development, the plot development, the spectacular writing, the university history woven into every single page, the connections to Black history discussed. Everything was done in such a fast paced and interesting manner that gave me such a connection to the story as a whole and had me attached to all the characters from the beginning.

Was the world building complicated?

No! This really is more along the lines of contemporary YA literature with magic powers, deamons and the legend of King Arthur added in to create one heck of a fantasy story and one of the best to come out this year.

How is the pace?

Both books are fast paced, so be prepared to get nothing done once you pick either of them up!

Do you recommend this series?

Heck yes I do!! If you haven’t started reading it yet, go grab a copy and jump on the bandwagon. Trust me! You won’t regret it.

Yesterday

Yesterday kicked off a three day snowstorm. The snow didn’t start till late afternoon, but due to all the fog the roads were covered in ice and I was stuck at home. Since I was stuck at home, I decided to make some soup.

For lunch I made Creamy Tortellini French Onion Soup. I made this once last month and it was a huge hit! Plus it comes together really quickly and has minimal ingredients.
