The Christmas Wish
The Christmas Wish is a festive revival of Groundhog Day that tells a story about what it means to live a happy and fulfilling life.
What appealed to you the most in this story?
I loved the character growth for each of the characters, as they learn something about themselves and choosing happiness. I also got into the family drama and enjoyed the tiny bit of fun romance for a few characters.
How was the pace?
This was a slow burn where about the first third of the book is background/buildup. I’ll be honest. I had a hard time getting into this book, because the majority of characters/family are absolutely horrible in the beginning. However, I’m so glad I kept reading because after the background the story took off and you could feel the heart and love in each chapter.
Do you recommend this book?
Overall, this is mainly a family drama but there were still funny and surprisingly deep and meaningful moments with a Christmas Day setting. So, if you're a fan of that combo, you may want to check this one out.
Thank you, TLC Book Tours and HarperCollins for this gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.
Yesterday
Yesterday was another snow day with all of North Dakota shut down. So I did some reading and had a family movie night.
Bullet Train was quite the adventure is murder mystery along with a lot of laughs.
