This week is all about romcoms for me!

I’m finally jumping on the bandwagon and reading Dial A for Aunties with Kaley, and I have a sneaking suspicion we are going to share some laughs over this story.

Yesterday I started The Friend Zone, and I cannot put it down!

Y’all this book could not have come at a better time for me. I hadn’t read the synopsis for this book or any that are in the series, but I knew I wanted to read it since it’s a romance everyone has raved about. Well, it turns out the lead character in the story is going through the exact same thing with her uterus as I am right now. It’s just crazy how same we are. Even she can’t take the pill because it will cause tumor growth and that is exactly what happens to me.

Next week I have surgery to have fibroids and polyps removed from my uterus. The polyps will be tested for cancer or precancerous cells. This will not be the first time I’ve had to deal with fibroids, but the effects of them have become debilitating at times and severely painful. Not to mention my whole life I’ve had problems with my period. Now I’m finding myself agreeing with my doctors that I need to take preemptive measures and have a hysterectomy. I had a mastectomy at 27 because I had 31 tumors combined in my breasts, and they told me then that the odds were good that I would have the same thing happen in my uterus. That time is here and I’ve been battling it for a few years now, so I have a serious decision to make. Therefore, I’ve got my toucan mug this morning to give me motivation. Scroll down for picture

All seriousness aside I am loving this book! It’s an excellent romcom with some fun and excellent laugh-out-loud moments. It’s definitely living up to the hype, and the steam is excellent!
