Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! I’m freaking hooked on another amazing fantasy series and I need the next book in this trilogy now! NOW!
What appealed to you the most?
Everything! The plot, adventure, diverse cast of characters, the steamy romance, found family, and more!
This is a dual POV story, which I live for any time there is a romance involved. Talasyn is stubborn, spitfire-y, honest, and finding herself after a tragic youth. Alaric is broody, fierce, protective, stubborn, sensitive and trying to find where he stands in his evolving world.
How was the world building?
The world building was so easy to follow and I was immediately transported to an atmospheric new world.
The only thing that caught me up just a little bit in this book, at the very beginning, were all the characters names, since they were very unique. But that was just for the very beginning and then I was fine.
How was the romance?
Ugh, this was so addicting and the banter along with sexual tension was the best! I could not get enough of the enemies to lovers and forced proximity that had the steam rolling off the pages.
How was the pace?
Fast! I stayed up late two nights in a row because I could not put this book down!
