The Plus One from Mazey Eddings was such a charming and steamy enemies to lovers romcom that has it all.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆?

This book has everything I wanted and look for:

• Smart, strong, funny and witty female lead

• Lead character stays true to herself while still growing as an individual

• Laugh out loud moments

• Funny, supportive, smart and real friends and family

• An actual plot with the storyline that kept moving along at a fast pace

• Believable romance situations

• Some amazingly steamy open door sex scenes (mama likes her steam) …multiple sex scenes too (don’t judge me)

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲?

This was a sweet book with excellent humor, warmth, and lots of witty banter. I was completely drawn into their lives from the beginning and found myself heavily invested in the romance.

Steam level: Open door w/the hinges blown off…maybe took some of the walls with it too.

What drew you into the character’s lives?

I really enjoyed Indira’s POV - she was unconventional, messy, and calls it as she sees it. The additional layers of her being a psychiatrist, while dealing with her own issues, really made her character so believable, and one you want to cheer for.

But, Jude was the character I loved the most as he comes to terms with his PTSD in the story. I really appreciated the way that Eddings wrote about mental health in relation to PTSD and panic attacks that Jude dealt with after his experiences in war torn countries as a surgeon. This made it feel more real and raw, and his character was written in a way that made me really and truly understand what living with PTSD is like.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲?

I flew through this fast-paced unconventional love story in a day, so I advise you to set aside some time because you won’t want to set this book down!

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸?

YES!! You have to read this book, get completely hooked and fall in love with all the characters like I did!
