I recently read this amazing book with @booksandsnapshots as a buddy read, and I had such a great time discussing it with her!

Rather than write a review for a book pretty much everyone has already read I thought I’d ask some questions instead.

♾What did you think of the pace of the storyline?

I read some reviews that said they found the pace extremely slow. For me I thought the pacing was perfect as I followed Addie’s life through its ebbs and flows down an unpredictable path. I really don’t think her life is something that could’ve been rushed though it’s twists and turns.

♾ What did you think were the best and worst things about Addie’s invisible life?

I think the worst had to be her inability to have a home to call her own...The best would be not having anyone remember your horrible screwup‘s.

♾ If Addie borrowed your house, what would she enjoy the most about the contents of your cupboards and your closets?

I’m guessing she would enjoy all the books all over my home and in every room.

♾What did you think of Luc’s character? Love or Hate?

I like how his character grew and evolved through the story. Turns out he may have been a little bit more human than god in the end.

♾What did you think of the ending?

Once I got halfway through the story I started bracing myself for the ending. I knew it would either be tragic or happy. Turns out I was wrong on both counts!

♾ Fun Fact: What inspired V.E. Schawab to write The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue?

“My first idea for The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue came from Peter Pan, actually, and thinking about how sad it is to forget and how much sadder it would be to be forgotten.”
