The Lies I Tell

The Lies I Tell

The Lies I Tell is another unique and brilliant winner from Julie Clark! I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. Just ask Erin. We were buddy reading this one and I totally abandoned her and flew through it!

Synopsis: Two women. Many aliases.

Meg Williams. Maggie Littleton. Melody Wilde. Different names for the same person, depending on the town, depending on the job. She's a con artist who erases herself to become whoever you need her to be―a college student. A life coach. A real estate agent. Nothing about her is real. She slides alongside you and tells you exactly what you need to hear, and by the time she's done, you've likely lost everything.

Kat Roberts has been waiting ten years for the woman who upended her life to return. And now that she has, Kat is determined to be the one to expose her. But as the two women grow closer, Kat's long-held assumptions begin to crumble, leaving Kat to wonder who Meg's true target is.

Please Note: This is one of those books where I can’t write too much for my review, or I’ll end up giving away something in the story.

What appealed to you the most?

I love how Clark focused on two completely different women who are both smart and savvy. As I read about them it was like peeling away each layer of an onion and going deeper into their psyche to discover what motivates their actions and ultimately brings them together in such a unique and twisted way.

How was the pace?

This is one of those books that is intriguing from the beginning and becomes more and more intriguing as the story progressed. I just had to find out how it was all going to come together in the end! Quite the fast-paced domestic thriller that will have you questioning: Is it revenge or justice?

Do you recommend this book?

Of course, I do! This is a must-read psychological thriller that will mess with your mind. I loved it! READ IT!!
